Sew it on a pillow II

Just got these awesome embroidery patterns from Fred Flare for $9 bones!

Anyone know how to make your own?

There are more designs available from Sublime Stitching--I have a couple but of course haven't tried them yet. I think making your own designs is supposed to be pretty easy. Helpful, aren't I? Sorry, my brain went to bed two hours ago.

Actually yes, thanks Diane! Sublime has more neat patterns and some instructions on how to make your own with dressmakers carbon. *(http://www.sublimestitching.com/howto2.html)

Thanks, hope you get some sleep!

Those are so cool! I do a lot of photocopying and sizing and tracing for embroidery patterns, then do the carbon paper over the fabric thing. I like to do words and phrases with different fonts too.

Very cool patterns! I tried my hand at embroidery w/Sublime Stitching patterns and yeah, not pretty!

Oh hey are you in Chicago? I grew up in the 'burbs. Still my favorite city.

BTW, congrats! Send me your address please ;)

I can't sew a button...let alone this embroider. These are cool though...maybe I could be motivated to learn with these thingies!

Don't get me wrong. This could clearly end in disaster. But I'm willing to try.

Domestic Chicky - FONTS! I didn't even think about that. There are so many great fonts.

Once again, my OCD quest/lust for all things awesome is surpassing my skill set. Slow down grasshopper. Slow down.

GET OUTTA MY HEAD!!!LOL-My quest/lust always outstrips my skill...but it all turns out ok in the end...

I'm so saving up "get outta my head" to use on a girlfriend. LOL.

No it doesn't always turn out, but thanks for that. I tried to freehand a little dress by handsewing some vintage scrap last night. Thinking I was all wee wonderful and I ended up sewing the arm holes shut. Arrrgh! (Shaking my fists at the sky)
