ScareKids

Our neighbors, let's just call them "The Clampetts" and leave it at that, toss their 3 kids out the door in the morning and call them back in at suppertime.

As a result, the kids are often playing in our flowerbeds, tossing popsicle wrappers in our yard and making bouquets out of the perrenials. Nothing seems to be able to stop this despite many polite talks with the parents and the kids.

So...would it be wrong to
buy this and install it on the front lawn? I mean it's not like I'm yelling "It's mine now!" when a ball gets tossed into the yard. I would just be watering. Often.

Heh! My husband, Mr. Passive-Aggressive who occasionally becomes Mr. Aggressive-Aggressive, would adore this idea--and might actually be upset he hadn't thought of it himself. Several years ago, for a similar reason, he tried various measures and threatened to set out glass shards or plant a creeping, thorny, poisonous vine along the point of entry, our brick fence. This, from an elementary school teacher...

They'll end up playing with it... and enjoying it... and you will have a mudbowl and the popsicle sticks...
I woould go for the high voltage fence that they use to keep cattle in...
Ohhh But there are laws against that???
Aren't there???

I say you put up a scarecrow of a reallly reallllll old scary looking person. Like the dude in Poltergeist...and then have a motion sensor that is activated whenever they come near your house...which then activates his scary ass voice.
Did I put tooo much thought into this?

How rude of those parents, and kids. Maybe an invisible fence?

I wonder if there is an office version?

Damn. She's right they would be dancing in the sprinkler in their cutoffs and tighty whities.

I like the idea of buying a Halloween action figure that pops up and yells boo. But that might have to stay in my head. Might get a bad rep in the hood.
