Santa Smackdown

I got an email from Pinatas.com wishing me a Happy Holidays. (Of course I'm on the pinata mailing list. Aren't you?)

It cracked me up that they have a Santa pinata. Cause, you know, everyone wants to beat the crap out of Santa with a broom handle.
I mean, it's on Santa. Bring it! Though this could actually be brilliant. I'm feeling a family tradition coming on. Shop in the overcrowded, insane malls. Come home. Beat up Santa. It just might catch on around here.

And for my Jewish friends. Fret not. You too can go gansta this holiday season by knocking the snot out of your very own Dreidel Pinata.

Mazel Tof Dawg!

Okay, this is why I have been riddled with all sorts of holiday-related anxiety as of late. I don't have a pinata. I need to go sign myself up for some of that hot papier mache action.

Yeah, the whole "character" pinata thing has always bothered me!

Of course, it's always fun to watch Elmo, Pikachu, and friend die a miserable death.

You make me laugh woman!
I love that you have a subscription to pinata.com! You know what they need to be able to make? Pinatas out of pictures of people you hate...that would be cool. I'd love a pinata of my ex-Bff...I'd love to lay the smackdown on her ass...

Great blog! I'm laughing so loud I might scare someone! I didn't know about this "pinata" thing, but here in Portugal we have a similar tradition although a bit more "violent":
It was an old game where one would be blindfolded and with the broom stick would smack severeal clay pots (hanged up) to get the prize. The only thing is that all the pots had lots of "yahhckie" stuff in them. At the end the poor guy would have taken a "bath" o flour, oil, olive oil, wood dust, eggs, whatever, a lot of clay pieces on his head... and the stupid prize! I guess the "pinata" thing would be far more funny!
I'll be visiting this blog often, thanks for wonderful reading!
