Corners of My House

I like visiting other blogs and seeing them post a corner of their house. I'm naturally snoopy and love the peepshow. So here is my first corner. (I of course did not take the picture of the corner that contains the rolled up pantyliner the dog took out of the bathroom garbage but instead went with the kid's playroom Christmas Tree.)

Because I would want to know this stuff I'm gonna give you the random details.
  • The playroom is in our basement. Our basement is partially finished. Rumor has it the former owner was having an affair with the construction guy that did it. I'm thinking the affair ended and he walked away before the work was done.
  • The tree topper is from Target ($4.99) and I love it.
  • The tree skirt I couldn't be bothered to straighten is from the dollar store. $1 for that retro red felt goodness.
  • You will note that hiding behind the pirate ship is a red bowling pin lamp. Yes, it lights up a glowing red! In a garbage tossing fury I got rid of it's brother, the wooden bowling pin lamp base, and I regret it to this day.
  • The empty picture frames were hung last week after sitting in a pile for more than 3 years. I bought the lot on a Martha Stewart Kmart clearance sale. Finally, the ADD medication is kicking in and I'm finishing up a lot of those long postponed tasks. If I keep taking it I just might pick up the photos that have been sitting at Walgreen's since October and fill them up.
That's all. I'll post another one next week. Now show me yours cause I showed you mine!

I posted my little decorations and did it in the dark so you couldn't see the dirt.

Janet - Do it! I would totally look!

Steven - I've been with my husband for 15 years if you count dating. Show it. I'll look.

Crunchy - Amen!

Sure I'll show you a little cornor of my house once I have clean all the dust bunnies and cob webs out and than mop the floors and vaccum for the 200th time and make my home look like an ad for a magazine!!! LOL!! My mother doesn't even get a picture of my house!!
what kind off ADD meds are you taking? My son takes meds for ADD also. I should but I have heart problems so my doctor won't let me take the stuff!!

Dawn - I've actually thought that I would alternate corners. One week it's a nice one. The next week it's a bad one. Just to keep it real! I'm on Wellbutrin which is an ADD/Depression med. My doc says he wants to start me on an ADD specific med once I've been happy and not blue for a few months. So far so good!

Fun idea. I might have to post one, too.

Also, I like your paint color.

Just for you!

How organised is your play room! I love that bowling pin lamp, very groovy.
Has the wellbutrin made you gain any weight?

I took a picture of a corner for ya. ;)

Betsy - I looked (tapping foot) waiting for that corner!

Andie - Cute!

Peta - That's because my sisinlaw and BFF (even though she hates that term she is and will have to suck it up) helped me PURGE it a few weeks ago when our husbands were working late. This included bringing a carload of toys to Grandmas house and getting rid of another 4-5 kitchen garbage bags of toys.

Wellbutrin - Yes it has! But I suspect that is because it totally rocked for depression and focus but not so hot for anxiety. I tend to eat when I'm anxious and so I have been overeating on it. I just added a half dose of an anti-anxiety med (can't think of the name) and it seems to be taking the edge off.
