Sharing the spice

I had a meeting with a client in this cool warehouse/office building in the city. Their neighbor is a spice company called The Spice Outfit. God the building smelled good. I can vouch for the cool old time gangsta packaging and spicy goodness of these rubs.

Random fact: When I lived in England I worked at a pub and anytime a patron would hear that I was from Chicago they would say "Oi, Shiii-KA-Go. Al Capone. Bang! Bang!". Hilarious. The only alternative was the older, evening crowd that would sing Que Sera Sera to me after they had been drinking. Despite the constant questions about gangster life in the big city and Doris Day songs it was actually a blast. Maybe I should send them some spice?

That's cute. I am a California native, and when I told East coasters I was from there, they would immediately ask if I surfed. Um, no. It's cold in there.

I'm also from CA and they'd always look at me like, gee, you're not blonde. One time probably 15 years or more ago, we were in Chattanooga and a guy in an antique store asked if I lived near Ho-Say Can-saaaay-co. Only it took like 10 minutes to say that sentance. Time really does stand still there.

When I smell either cardamom or basil I"m like a cat on catnip. I just want to roll around in both of them. Hmmm. If I could get K in a Park Ranger uniform on a bed of Cardamom... Can you e-mail him that that is what I want for Christmas?

I don't use spices but if I did I would get those. Wait...is salt a spice? Because I use that.

Can I get a tin of ganster salt?
