I weaned myself off of a serious US Weekly and Star Magazine addiction by trolling the online gossip websites. Here's where I get my cheese;
Perez Hilton used to be a favorite of mine, but lately he has been more interested in blogging about himself and his friends then giving good dish. And yet, I still can't help but visit that goofy gollum to read about Paris Hilton's latest antics. That little minx!
Molly Good is my current favorite for a daily look at what those crazy kids are up to. She doesn't break any stories, but gives a charmingly snarky commentary that I adore. She also hooked her readers up with Crazy Days and Nights, the blog of an entertainment lawyer that gives some really great blind items. I can never guess the celebs he's writing about, but the people who leave comments do. So I just read the comments and squeal things like, "Oh that HAS to be Terri Hatcher drunkenly smashing cars. Good one!"
D-Listed is also a fun gossip summary page with short witty blurbs on stars antics. It's a good lunchtime quickie site to visit. The author's entry titles are hilarious, "Would You Hit It?" and "Name This Ho" are my two favorites.
Of course Go Fug Yourself is always a hoot to visit when you want to "listen in" on hilarious women making fun of celebrity outfits. Thank God they don't review normal people. I would hate to hear what they had to say about my Faded Glory Walmart jeans and "Sometimes I Pee Myself When I Laugh" tee shirt.
Oh No They Didn't, eeeeeeh it's ok. If you are desperate for an update it will give you one. But it's really more of a fansite than a dirt site.
And to those judgers who want to know if I have better things to do with my time. Well, I would make my family dinner but those darn Lean Cuisines seem to fill them up so nicely. And I find that about 8 hours of Caillou DVDs provides a far better role model for my kids than I could ever be. ;)
