Boys

Son: Mommy, I just need to tell you one thing.
Me: Ok, what's up?
Son: You are so beautiful
Me: (Melting) Oooooh.

Son now says this at least three times a day because he loves that he makes me all ooey-gooey. So sweet it actually makes up for this conversation.

Son: Mommy, why are you eating diet food?
Me: Well, because I want to be healthier and lose some weight.
Son: So you don't have a great big super duper giant butt.
Me: Um, yea.

And later that same day...

Son: Mommy, I came to give you a great big hug goodnight. (Wraps his legs around my waist and proceeds to blow the biggest, smelliest fart ever to come out of his wee hiender.)
Me: Dude! Did you just fart on me?
Son: (Giggles into my shoulder) I love you mommy.

Priceless...all three scenarios are just priceless...

As the mom of 2 boys, I can totally hear these conversations from my past.

My oldest (who is now almost 16) used to tell me that he had a dirty diaper by saying "Mommy, I have butt fungis."

See farts are an outward expression of how comfortable and "at home" you feel with another person. At least that's what I tell K -- that and that they DO NOT stink.

Very nice :) He'll be a terror among the ladies when he gets older (in a good way, of course).

Heh. I love boys! They truly rock. Nothing's funnier than a huge fart! (Well, maybe something, but not to a little boy!)

That totally made me laugh. Those conversations sounded exactly like ones I've had with my own. Giant butt stuff and all.

Boys are so funny.

I'm so glad that I have a boy. They tell it like it is and they love their mama!! My little guy doesn't talk yet, but he toots by the hour!

YEP! That's a boy for ya! The other day I called Junior Mayhem "My Love". He said, "Did you just call me love?" "Yes," I replied. "I'm not love, I'm JM" he said. Then I told him I called him that because I loved him. About an hour later, he came up to me, handed me something, and said, " Here Momma Love". I almost melted when he added, " I sayed that because I love you!"

Oh, those boys!

Nice to see that I am not the only one who gets tooted on by the wee children.

My poor kids take after their Momma!

Three boys here...they certainly do learn how to woo the ladies early don't they?

Poor boys, they're going to be so lonely with their farts.
