Happy Happy Spring

What a kickass day. The upped dosage of my Wellbutrin kicked in and I was feeling happy and motivated to get my behind to the gym. I also finally figured out how to load up my Walmart MP3 player with cheesy pop and managed to add a good 15 minutes to my (ahem) 20 minute treadmill workout by jamming to songs like Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend. Plus the sun was shining and I found time to use my Little Green Machine on the couch with Bissell's Lavender scented soap so the house smells awesome and the half gallon of milk son accidentally spilled on the cushions has been sucked out!

Today, son got to go outside and rock his little skateboard. He also rocked the boarder 'tude since he wouldn't smile for any pictures. Still cute as hella though! But you know that cause you've seen
my baby daddy.

Daughter was actually delighted to wear her first pair of sunglasses today. Too. Damn. Cute.

Daughter was born with a stubborn mullet. As a lover of all things White Trash this phased me not one bit. We just keep trimming the bottom in hopes that the rest will catch up and then stick as many barrettes as we can to the top of her head. Though Grandma is convinced we bring her to Super Cuts and request "the most boyish cut possible". Grandma also masterminded the Crystal Gale hairstyle I wore till the fifth grade and therefore lost any hair authority early on.

First let me say I love your baby girls hair. It looks so adorable on her.

Second...That song totally rocks! I must add it to my playlist!

Adorable kids, and thanks for the Avril. It's not enough to get me to go to the gym though.

Is there anything cuter than a youngster in shades? Perhaps a young man on a scooter?

Thanks for the pics and the song. I'm so out of the loop on music right now. I feel a wee bit cooler now.

Yup. Adorable. All of it.

The Avril video kept me interested, but I just don't like her.

Your daughter looks ornery, is she? Cute kids!

My daughter loves that song by Avril, it's on her ipod.

They are SO cute. I wish I could keep the hair out of Rooster's eys... - sigh-

Oh my Gawd! I love your kids--they are so cute--even with a skater tude. Love your little girl's hair and glasses.

And yay on the adding minutes to the treadmill. I need new music!

Yay for Spring!

I can't believe I'm actually missing going to the gym now. Reading about everyone else going is starting to make me feel left out. :-(

I must admit, I felt a bit shocked when I read about your little green machine and the couch... oh, the cleaning thing. My bad.

I love that song tooo...makes me just want to do the dance from the breakfast club for 3 1/2 minutes...

...ok, maybe for 30 seconds

Thanks! The teen angst thing Avril does is a little boring to an old timer like me. But it's got a nice beat and I can dance to it so I give it a 9. (Remember that?)

Nope, she's not ornery. Somehow I lucked out and got the most biddable, sweetest girl on the planet. I fully expect that to change when she turns 13. But for now she's a piece of cake!

The green machine is def. not "that" type of machinery. Not that there is anything wrong with "that"!

I need the green machine.

But I need your baby's sun glasses even more. She is too damn cute.

My boy cops the skater attitude too. It doesn't actually pass.

Good for you on the workout!

actually, i find that song really disturbing, and i've been trying to figure out why. the first thing i thought was, run it ten years ahead, and she'll be singing "hey you, i don't like your wifey, i think you need a new one," and there'll be a video of her tormenting some stay-at-home mom stereotype. and then, when she's walking off with the grinning guy, maybe there'll be footage of his little babies crying in the background. yeah, that'd make a great video. i know, it's "not the same" if you're not married, and the kids in the video are, well, kids. i guess i just find the "punky" girl's disrespect for other people's choices about who to be with and the way she forces herself on the guy to be really off-putting. is this how we want our kids to think it's okay to be when they start dating? sorry to sound like a downer. i'm just trying to figure this one out.

Glasses are from Children's Corner. 2 for $5!

Anon - Don't overthink it, just dance.

Come and see the post when I paid homage to your MILF goal! :)

The sun (and a little Wellbutrin) really does make everything feel better doesn't it?

Glad you had a such a terrific day!

Lotta, I will am going to hold you responsible for that song. It get's in your head and then spreads like cancer and you can't get rid of it. If you hadn't put the video of it in this post, I'd have surely heard it on the radio, but you were the first.... it's all your fault.
