Sick, Sicker, Sickest

We switched over from a blanket to a towel by 6:00 AM when she had thrown up 4 times. There is nothing like a little kid puking to pull at your heartstrings. They've got this "what the hell is happening to me?" look on their face while hot vomit shoots straight out. Poor baby.

4 times. That really sucks. I hope she feels better real soon. She looks comfy with either blanket or towel.

I feel so bad for her, at least she has her mommy.

You know she's the cutest kiddo in the whole wide world, right? Geez!

Aww poor baby! I always feel so bad for my two - you're so right, they do not understand at all about puking. Claire used to try to run away from the vomit as she was puking when she was younger. What a damn mess that was.

I sure hope she feels better soon!

Beach towels are wonderful as vomit catchers.

Love the little piggies peeing out from the towel...

Peeking - peeking out from the towel. Jeesh.

Feel better, Gracie girl.

I think the worst part of when mine have been this sick - the surprise of it.

Poor little darling! I hate to see when they look so pitiful! I'm with OTJ, even sick...she is precious!

I hope she feels better soon!

My daughters get insulted when I try to hold a bowl in front of them to catch the vomit - and my youngest wants me to hold her when she feels she is going to throw up.

Hey, do you also have 5 zillion Little Mommy baby dolls in your house? At Christmas we got twins and triplets to add to the ones she already had.

Hope she feels better soon. Until then, snuggle up tight to her.

Hi Lotta,

I'm new here and have been voting for you every day for a week! I love your writing! You make me belly laugh!!

She's a beauty, even when she's as sick as a dog.

Aw! I took pictures of my sick kids today, too! I almost posted them but thought people would think I'm warped. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! Ha ha! I hope she feels better! We've got the same thing at our house. :(

Crap. It's really going around. I'm waiting to see what's developing with Max. He complained of a sore throat yesterday (and it was swollen) but we're not sure if it's allergies or a cold. Neither is as bad as the flu though.

I hope she recovers swiftly and without taking anyone else down with her.

Wendy - Too true. Though big brother is pissed about that. Toddler egos are crazy big and she could be puking her guts out and he would be mad he wasn't being held by me too. Argh!

OTJ - Yup.

Mommie - Ok, that image made me laugh. And then wince for you. One time son had the squirts so bad and with such power they would blow out of a new diaper and down his leg. I was chasing him all day and had to coral him into the kitchen.

Gretchen - Beach towels are in the wash as I type!

Jakes - True.

Tilly & Queen - thanks friends!

Nikki - Also a funny image! I have no idea what that doll is. A dolls a dolls a doll to me. All I know is we have a bunch of pink ones.

Silly/Heather - Thanks!

Janet - "loogit her" is exactly how I feel!

FD - I didn't really see it as "warped" just sharing with fellow mommies.

Angelina - Too late - awesome husband was up last night for the worst of the vomiting. He came home from work sick as a dog.

OOOOOOOoooo....... I hate it when little ones are ill. Best puking advice I gots....... line a small bathroom type of trash can with a Wal-Mart or in your case, Target bag so when she throws up all you have to do....... if you get there in time to catch it that is....... is tie it up and toss it! Hope she's on the mend soon!

Oh, she's a doll. So sorry that she's not feeling well. You nailed it WRT the expression on their poor sick little mugs.
