Brokeass mama rule #1: Stay on the good side of relatives who own a boat and/or vacation home at all times!
In Michigan...This dinghy belonged to another group on the beach. But son kept trying to pull it into the water and sail away. Then he put the boat owner's 2 year old boy in it and tried to tow him out for a ride. Lastly, he had little sister in there and was ready to take off but was thwarted when the dinghy owner's took their rubber boat back to the mother ship.
Me, in my new Lands End outlet suit with daughter. (No pictures below the waist please!) I must say it was so nice not to be in a swimsuit with a nubby butt and broken elastic. Did I mention that Lands End is sending me a free swimsuit for review? Plus they are going to host a Q&A on swimsuit fits on this blog soon. I optimistically ordered the next size down and this brokeass mama is very excited for the free clothing. Also, note the crazy red burn on my shoulders. I am the queen of random sunscreen application. You don't want to ask me to rub in the SPF unless you like having a big red hand print on your shoulders.
Husband and kids skipping rocks. That's the affluent and friendly relative's boat in the background. So fun! So nice of them to host us!
Daughter was so excited to be sitting up at the counter eating breakfast with the big girls. She's so thrilled her cousins are letting her hang with them. Daughter followed them around all weekend and they very sweetly indulged her.
And now I must go and face the mounds of unwashed, wet laundry that await every mom at the end of a vacation.
