BlogHer07; A Little Bit More

I feel bad that I haven't given my ultimate BlogHer07 lowdown yet. I've got a stack of cards and I'm ready to dish. It's just that we are going camping in a few days and that means "WE" have to pack. I've been scuttling to do laundry and clean all the dust bunnies I imagine my dog sitter gasping in horror at when she comes over to let our dog wee.

I will say this. I have never been more excited to hang out with a group of women than I was at this event. I was always down o
n sororities because they seemed so exclusive and well, notalwayssonice to the socially impaired like me. (I also went to DePaul University in Chicago where sororities literally got a lunch table in the cafeteria assigned to them in lieu of a house. So that may have hedged the decision.) But if BlogHer were a college sorority I would have pledged my f'king eyeballs out and paint penned every clear acrylic frame I could get my hands on. There were so many warm, bright and funny funny storytellers to talk with. Drink with. Drink some more with. And they totally didn't judge me when I ate 3 cones of blue cotton candy at snack time.

The next post I write, I want to give you the what's what on some individual bloggers that I had a great time with. You already know that Jenny and I like to flaunt our sex toys, but I met some great new ones I can't wait to start reading. In the meantime I'll leave you with a picture from the Thursday night cocktail hour that Oh The Joys, i am Bossy, IzzyMom, myself and Amanda from Goody Blog hosted at the W hotel. Goody Blog provided drink tickets and thank Christ above cause by the time I paid (pinky finger to mouth) one MILLION dollars for parking I was bustass broke. But as you can see in the picture below I was well lubricated for the night. The very fun and welcoming Mama Loves helped keep the drinks coming as she let me take advantage of her expense account. Sk*rt also provided some kickbutt door prizes. And can I say that not only is Sk*rt a great idea but the girls running it are so nice and intelligent. Really, bookmark some of your favorite posts there.

From left to right; Bossy, Me, OTJ's, Izzy and Goodyblog's Amanda. Bossy is hot. I'm trying to prove that I gagged down tooth whitener for the past week. Jessica wore a belly shirt and has absolutely no sharpei gut as she claims. Izzy has a great dry wit and smile. And Amanda was so cute and sweet I don't think she figured out I mooched extra drink tickets from her.

And Jenny from Mama Drama first saw me on day one of the conference. The day I was wearing my rained on, stretched out shirt with exploded Pepsi all over it. So I want it on the record I was clean, Spanxed and in a dress the night we were supposed to actually meet!

Can I just tell you how much I adored the opportunity to hang with you! You are so amazing, beautiful and even funnier in real life (which I didn't think was possible).

I'm sorry in a way the conference was so large. It made it really difficult to stalk you.

Mama - Ah, how could I have left you out of the cocktail party post! Doh! I edited you in;

"The very fun and welcoming Mama Loves helped keep the booze flowing too as she let me put a few cosmos on her expense account."

It was so wonderful to meet you. You really give off this awesomely welcoming and warm vibe. I was instantly comfortable, like we had known each other for years already. Keep blogging so we stalk each other better next year.

Mama - And you're hot!

I love your dress in the picture but to me you'll always be the bright and sunny Lotta in the glaringly white shirt.

By the way, how do you get your whites so white?

I, too, have been comparing BlogHer to a sorority - but only in the best possible sense of the word.

You are a delight, Lotta, and I had a great time hanging with you.
