PlumTickled About My Gift!

It's been very fall-chilly around Chicagoland lately. Which I love because I get kind a crazy creative energy in the fall. It's definitely my favorite season of the year. But next week it's supposed to get up into the 90's again. The only bright spot about the hotness is that daughter can wear the awesome dress that PlumTickled sent us as a gift from her Etsy dress shop (not to be confused with her awesome fabric shop).

When I first opened the package I thought she had sent me a skirt and I couldn't figure out why the sizing was so big. Daughter even wore it as a skirt a few days before it dawned on me that it was actually a dress. This should come as no surprise since I frequently button the wrong buttons and wear black bras with white tee shirts.
Don't you love their little backs? Those shoulder blades look like she just shed her angel wings. Though the dreamy lens action you see is not a filter. It's son using the camera to take pictures of his lego creations and greasing up the lens with mac and cheese fingers.

Though I'm not as talented as the generous Plum Tickled, I did manage to make this cute little swing top from a vintage 50's pattern. I like it and want to try again with some corduroy for fall. But this time I'll be adding a big pocket in the front and making the shoulders a wee bit narrower.

Oooh! I'm so jealous you get to dress a little girl. And she's adorable to boot!

I love that dress...and that top you made? Very impressive.

Love the little dress, she does look like an angel. So sweet and fragile looking.

I agree with Mamma...would LOVE to dress a widdle girl! My 4 sons REFUSE to let me put dresses on them! Breaking their mother's heart for no reason at all...

Your daughter is just a doll!

Great job on the swing top! I love it! Make the pocket a big ladybug!! Thats so cute! So are you ever gonna try a doll quilt? I bought the Cinderella apron pattern (damn you) that was in your eBay listings on your Blog this weekend! Geez! I am gonna check out the banner ads thing. I need to make some fabric money!

she's so cute it makes me hurt.

And I want a shirt like that...even though I'd have to keep fielding the "when are you due" questions.
