Stitchette Pillows

More fun Stitchettes from Wee Wonderful's fall and winter patterns! My nieces have started to request these pillows for their birthdays. It's fun to match which Stitchette looks most like them and then sew it up while I watch Ace of Cakes on The Food Network.

I added a little strawberry patch to the knee of this cheerleader. I used a poly cotton blend fabric thinking it would be easier to spot clean. And it is. I know this because I got some chocolate chip cookie on it while I was sewing. But it puckers and doesn't regain it's shape like 100% cotton. I don't think I would do that again.

The back, fabric from Aunt Grace I got on ebay but you can find her patterns at Repro Depot too.

I like Hillary's version (on the sample card) of this pattern much more than mine. She captured the retro charm whereas mine looks a little too Jonbenet Ramse. But it was for a little girl who loves pink, glitter and sparkles so I tried to use some silver thread. Let me tell you that stuff is unforgiving! I think my stitches are straighter than they look in the picture. I'm going to blame it on my wonky camera that the kids have dropped too many times. Right, uh, it's the kids fault. Nothing to do with my photography or sewing skills. Nuh, Uh.

Back is just some fabric from Joanne Fabrics.
