Hanes sent me a big old box of children's clothing! They emailed me to see if I would be interesting in checking out their new Hanes/Kids website (of course) but we didn't expect such a haul. The kids and I were pleasantly stunned to see a box loaded with underpants, undershirts, socks, tees and sweats. I always buy Hanes tees in the women's section of Walmart (yes I do go there, and yes I have all my teeth). It's so hard to find a normal, cotton, v-neck tee that curves in slightly at the waist if you're a big girl. And they have stacks of them for about $6! For that kind of cash I can handle getting my son's snot wiping hug around the waist.
The box was filled with size 7/8, which they aren't going to be wearing for awhile but I was still delighted to stock it away. Right now our 43 pound son eats more than I do so I imagine he's going to fit into these pretty soon. But there were a couple of tees in the box that fit son now and I was impressed with the prints. Nice, trendy but not too violent looking and according to son "awesome!"
Here's our photo shoot;
Me: Act like a Scorpion! Sting baby sting!
Me: Hoot like an owl!
Me: That's a magic gnome you have on your shirt!
Daughter: For me?! Magic mome?
Even though I've technically been paid in cotton, I will honestly say that I intend to check out the site. I really loved the gnome tee (only $8!) and I like that the shirts don't look like they will shrink up after one wash. Now if only Hanes could design some decent plus sized yoga pants in oh, say a size 18W...
