I saw this review of a Nascar racing school over at Mums Gather and it’s making me reevaluate our “Let’s not give each other anything for Christmas this year” agreement. I’m pretty sure that if I gave husband a gift certificate to the Dale Jarrett Racing School he would be insane with joy.
There is a possibility that we may be going to Texas this January and one of the racetracks is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There is no way I can swing a 40-lap package for 2K. But I think $150 for 3 laps around the track is quite reasonable. I'm pretty sure I could scrounge that up by listing a few things on eBay. Especially considering this is a gift he’s not likely to forget.
This is a man who wakes up at the same time every day, almost never calls in sick and reads the kids a bedtime story at 7:30 every night. His life is like clockwork – how awesome would it be to give him a thrill ride at racing school? Something he would never imagine himself doing? And how much of a hero would he be when son saw his dad taking laps around the track?
I think I’m going to do it! Do you think it would look bad if I upped his life insurance policy before the trip?
