Raising Boys

To fully understand what it's like to raise a boy;
  1. Go to the Gerber Graduates web site and click on the TV that says "The Park"
  2. Then go to Oh The Joys and read this post.
That's what it's like.

The really sad part is my boys are 17, 14 and 9...and I still have to remind them of these things, sometimes daily.

I've brought everyone in my office in to watch that park commercial.

I had tears coming out of my eyes.

Too funny. Mine are 18 and 13, and whoever thought that thumb puppets in the bathtub was good idea never my my boys.

I remember one day when my son was about 18 months old...he had a really dirty diaper but was insistent on playing with his peepee. I dodged his hands for a while but finally told him, "Let Mommy clean you up, and then you can play with it all you want!" His face lit up and he shouted, "OKAY!" Man, those things can s-t-r-e-t-c-h!

I will second anonymous above. Why, just today while they were in the tub, daughter flicked son's penis exactly the way I flicked those spring door stoppers when I was a kid...and it did the same thing. AND my hubby told him it's okay to pee in the park if there's no bathroom---ummmm, not when he doesn't know how to pee with out pulling his pants to his knees!!
