Mommy Rescue

Son and I went out for some Mommy/Son bonding time last night. Pizza, swimming and grocery shopping. Grocery shopping may sound odd, but son is a true foodie. "Oh wheat puffs!", "Oh cherry tomatoes!" and "Wow, mom can we get that zucchini!". It's odd, but we're going with it.

While we were swimming at Lifetime Fitness son suddenly emerges from the (f'ing freezing) water at the indoor pool and clutches his chest dramatically.

Son: Mom! My chest hurts, it hurts so bad!

Me: (Already a frayed nerve) Oh my Gosh, come over here let me listen.

Son: (Walks over still clutching and wincing)

Me: (Bends down to listen to his heartbeat)

Son: BEEEEELCH!!! Wow, I feel so much better. Thanks mommy. (Swims away)
