Horror Flick

I haven't wanted to swim in a lake since crawfish nipped my toes at Camp Chippewa Bay. And this clip I found on Neatorama further backs my theory that "Pools are for paddl'n and lakes are for looking."

If you can stand it...try to make it to the end of clip to see the reporter get a beat down by Carp.

Oh my crap! That video was taken like 20 miles from my house. Freaky! I don't swim in lakes anyway, but now? NO WAY!

I know it's not supposed to be funny, but I got a good howl out of that. I hate swimming in anything other than a pool.

That was hysterical!

I am so not showing that to my children or this summer at the lake will be ruined!

Like I didn't already have enough to worry about? My dream as a professional water-skier has been stolen from me. Love the stuff you dig up girl!

I've been freaked out about these fish making it to Lake Michigan. Pray. This is a HUGE problem -- it seems funny but it is not. The zebra mussel is a huge issue, this would be so much worse. Pissed off fish are dangerous... Not enough is being done to control invading species....

Grim - I know. Did you see how they have an electrical barrier?

My mom would never take us to lakes - she said they were dirty, that the water just sat there. It's stuck with me - I still don't like them. I picture them being full of pee... LOL

I'm an ocean girl myself. :)

"mrsgingergrl",

They are full of pee and WORSE. But I will still get in. Just have to block it from your mind.

I do have my children convinced that if they consume any lake water they will get diarrhea. They are vigilant about not swallowing any!

Oh and a good delousing after swimming in the lake all day helps! We even Lysol their life jackets.

What a big, fat wimp! I'd like to see that dude compete in a dodgeball game with my teenagers!

Kermit - Get outta here! That's wild. And the mosquitos. They were all over those bloodsuckers. But I do recall loving the fresh bread and peanut butter on the table every mealtime.

Boggy - Ha!
