I agonized over my Etsy picture backgrounds forever. (Which is no freaking OCD surprise.) Do I make them plainer? Keep it the same and embrace the kitsch? I ended up being inspired by this kick ass vintage coloring book I won on Ebay.
Isn't it awesome? This cool book made me realize that I'm going to set all my items atop vintage coloring book pages for photographs. I get the mellow manila paper hue I wanted. Plus there are some interesting but simple black and white images to keep everything from getting too boring. I hope. What do you think?
The only bad news is that I dropped my camera about a week ago. I was standing at the top of our new cement stairs. So of course it fell straight down onto a pile of rocks at the bottom. The back of the camera cracked off and pictures have been a little grainy ever since. But there are a million priorities that are ahead of a getting new camera. Like Nicor and ComEd. Bastards.
