The Mother Of All Birth Stories

Go read Her Bad Mother's insane birth story! If you can't take the anxiety just skip ahead to the beautiful picture of her and her son at the end. Congratulations mama!

(By the way I found the link to Her Bad Mother's story at Plain Jane's blog. She does a really great "Go Read It Today" blog roundup.)

I'm pretty sure my story trumps hers. I HAD NO LABOR PAINS! I simply had a feeling of pressure, no pain whatsoever. I called the Dr.'s office because it concerned me. They said, come in, the doctor is at the hospital but we'll have the midwife check you out. Her eyes got HUGE. She said, you're having no pain? NOPE. Well you're dilated to 9 and if your water breaks you're gonna have the baby right here and now.

My SIL had driven me to the doctor's office. She got me to the hospital, took my son for a coke and before he finished the Coke he had a sister.

It's called precipitous birth and it can actually be dangerous....as in my case. There was meconiium in the sack and if I hadn't delivered at the hospital chances are there would have been a sad ending.

P.S. I quit while I was ahead. No more kids.

What a powerful (and empowering) birth story! I'm so glad everything went well for their family.

One of these days I'll get around to writing out my three birth stories too; 2 home births and 1 transport to the hospital (with a happy ending).

Yay for awesome birth stories!

What a birth story. I had (have) 5 children and my experiences were pretty good. #3 came fast, in about 1 1/2 hours.
