Too Broke For Christmas Giveaway

Day 1

Are you looking under the sofa cushions for Christmas present cash? Trying to figure out how to buy gifts and still have enough left over to make sure your roots aren't as black as chimney soot for the holidays? Well then this is the giveaway for you!

I'll be posting a sweet new giveaway every day this week - enter as often as you like. There's no voting, no need to sign up for any email services or RSS feeds. Here's all you need to do to enter:

1.) Visit Mom O Matic and leave a comment whenever you spot something that you would love to see under your tree, Menorah, or whatever you like to gather around this time of year. You don't need to say anything in particular - but a nice shout out to the day's sponsor is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

2.) You don't need to have a blog, but you do need to leave your email. Please. Don't make me stalk your blog to try and get in touch with you. Otherwise your awesome prize will go to someone else. Sorry to be blunt about this one but I'm saving up all my passive-aggressive niceness for Christmas Eve with my extended family.

3.) Check back on December 1 when all of the winners will be announced! I'll post a video of my daughter drawing your names. This way you'll know that the Roomba didn't go to "Sally" of "Alaska" and is actually vacuuming my living room as I write this. It's all on the up and up!

Day 1 Giveaway: A new Leap Frog Didj with three games!
SpongeBob's Fists of Foam
Indiana Jones
Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends.

Review: My 6 year old son has been asking for a big kid gaming system for awhile now. But have been reluctant to plug him into a game box. I fear that once he starts he'll begin demanding I bring him chocolate milk while he plays World of Warcraft.

Son does loves his Leapster though so I had a hunch the Didj would go over well too. It looks like a big kid gaming device with it's sleek silver case. But the Didj games teach things like math and language - versus how to bust a cap into a bad guy.

Overall, the Didj is a very cool system for a young guy or girl to play with. Son was super excited to play the games that Leapster sent us to try out, and hasn't wanted to put it down since.

Now you leave your comment and win one for yourself! Good luck!

Ahem. I presume you realize I'll be commenting on every prize, right?
Here's my plug:
We've loved every Leapfrog product that has made it's way into our home. Even the alphabet fridge magnet thing that rewrote the tune to the alphabet song, with its pieces that are always on the floor and all over the house, waiting to embed themselves in my feet. Even the Lily Frog that sings "HI I'M LILY AND YOU CAN COUNT ON ME 1...2...3..." and so on in a semi-irritating voice. The fact that I've spent 4 years hearing the echoing "Hi, I'm Tad!" in my ears from a variety of toys. BUT The kids go nuts for the stuff, and I love that they have products that grow with your kids and for all ages.

Hello Mom O Matic
This Leapster Didj looks just the thing for my hard to please 7 year old! I can't see that they are available here in the UK so we would love to win one!
I read your blog avidly but this is the first time I have left a comment!

Leapfrog rocks! My son has a Leapster to, but he's getting kind of bored with it and Momma's pockets are only supplying lint right now.

The Didj is probably too old for my girl, but my sweet nephew would love it! Count me in Lotta! Thanks Leap Frog!

Can I still win this even if I want my son to learn to bust a cap into a bad guy? Because that's a life skill too you know.

Seriously, my son would flip over this.

My son would love it! He's a total gamer (just like his mom). He has the V.Smile but is fast outgrowing it. I've already been considering these Didj and if I have one less present to buy, I'd be a happy camper!

This looks great; just the thing for my 5 year old guy. A plug for the Leapfrog DVDs: the Letter Factory/Word Factory series have been such a hit with my kiddo and the many others we've gifted with them. I think my 2 year old learned all of his letter sounds after watching Letter Factory about 3 times--he loved it. They're my best mom tip!

Would love to win! We have been so please with the Leapster LMax but son is losing interest in it. Doesn't look like big brother's Gameboy. Not sure if I want the younger one with a DS of his own but this Didj might fit the bill. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to do a giveaway Lotta!

My daughter would love this. She is 6 years old and I really need something to keep her entertained in the car on those long rides to Grandma's house. I drive much better when I'm not having to turn around every 5 minutes and yell at my children for fighting over the armrest or something else dumb because they are bored.

5 year old son saw this at Target and it was love at first sight....he doesn't have a portable game system and this looks like a nice progression from the V-Smile plug-in-system we have at home which is on the fritz...probably from overuse!

I am looking for a good gaming system for my soon to be 7 year old girl-something with great kids games that would keep her busy and entertained while in the car on long rides, and to let her have fun when waiting for appts. and all those other "boring" things. We never had a leapfrog/leapster system before, but I have heard they are great, and we've seen them in the stores. When I saw this new system had come out, I thought it would be a really cool present for her-I like the graphics and it is set for kids about her age. Thanks for having this giveaway!
