Too Broke For Christmas Giveaway

Day 2 Giveaway

iRobot Roomba® 530

Vacuum Cleaning Robot

"The Roomba 530 features our newest innovations in vacuum performance, room navigation, edge and corner cleaning, advanced anti-tangle technology and transitioning from carpets to hard floors."

If you just got here, well frankly you're late. But I'm sure glad you're here! I'll be posting a sweet new giveaway every day this week. So if you're selling last year's Christmas gifts on EBay to pay for this years - this is the giveaway for you!

Enter as often as you like. There's no voting, no need to sign up for any email services or RSS feeds. Here's all you need to do to enter:

1.) Visit Mom O Matic and leave a comment whenever you spot something that you would love to see under your tree, Menorah, or whatever you like to gather around this time of year. You don't need to say anything in particular - but a nice shout out to the day's sponsor is better than a poke in the eye.

2.) You don't need to have a blog, but you do need to leave your email. Please. Don't make me stalk your blog to try and get in touch with you. Otherwise your awesome prize will go to someone else. Sorry to be blunt about this one but I'm saving up all my passive-aggressive niceness for Christmas Eve with my extended family.

3.) Check back on December 1 when all of the winners will be announced! I'll post a video of daughter drawing your names. This way you'll know that the Roomba didn't go to "Sally" of "Alaska" and is actually vacuuming my living room as I write this. It's all on the up and up!

And it's not too late to put your comment in for the Day 1 Didj LeapFrog game!

I spent all day at work Friday trying to talk myself into buying a Roomba from amazon.com. In the end, I decided that, although it would make my life with two huge dogs and a woolly husband a little easier, I couldn't justify the expense. Saturday we saw a big display of them in Best Buy. And now this. Did I mention I've been reading your blog for a couple of years and I've made several purchases from your etsy shop? :) I love my yellow button earrings!

Every time I went to bed bath and beyond, I looked at the Roomba. Even with 20% coupon in hand, I couldn't buy it. My husband will kiss you, as I hate to vacuum and the duty goes to him.

I was just thinking how we could really use a Roomba. I have back problems so lugging around and maneuvering a heavy vacuum is just not something I can do anymore. Vacuuming is on my kids chore lists, but they are just not gettin it done.

I could really use one of these and I would find it particularly entertaining to see it chase Sophie our cat. Not that chasing the cat is my primary interest, I'd just really like to have my carpets vacuumed daily.

Ahh...a Roomba would absolutely let 'me' vacuum the floors instead of actually having to shovel the dirt, dust and everything else whenever I get around to it....

I tried to whore myself in SF to get a Roomba. I licked one. I offered to lick the host of the room. I offered to lick the coffee baristas. I promised to name it Rhonda and take care of her and feed her and create a twitter account for her and marry her if it ever becomes legal to marry your cleaning robot. Because cleaning up after me equals true love.

I still don't have a Roomba. I am all alone in my cleaning. So. Alone.

Oh, my. I've had my eye on a Roomba for MONTHS, ever since I started spending any time at my boyfriend's house and discovered he doesn't vacuum. EVER. I tried convincing him that a Roomba is a very Star Trek invention (he'll buy it if he feels it's "Star Trek" enough... no, really, he will...) but he still recognized it to be a "cleaning device" and therefore... no go. But if I could GIVE him one... he could not only revel in it Star-Treky coolness, but I could take my socks off when I'm over there without feeling like the two-year-old Cheetos living under the kitchen table will spontaneously develop human traits and start attacking viciously.

Also, I seriously would love a Roomba so I could stick the cat on top of it and see if he would ride it, like in that YouTube video. Not only would the house be cleaner, but I would no longer need TV if I could watch a cat ride a vacuum.

Please, oh please make BOTH those Christmas dreams come true!

I have 3 cats and 2 kids....cats would be "living on a nice farm somewhere" if it were not for the 2kids who absolutely love them! Having a Roomba to help clean up after them would do wonders to ease the daily resentment I carry towards the furry 4 legged creatures in our house...

I would SOOOO love a roomba. I have been dealing with Cushing's Disease for a long time now. It makes me weak, it makes me tired, it made me break my wrist in a simple fall... I have two dogs that would be amused and a floor I would love to see again!!!

I'd be pretty happy with that under my "tree".

We don't put up a tree because our apartment is to small, but in exactly 24 days we'll be moving into a house! I'm pretty sure it will take forever to vacuum compared to our apartment.

OMG I can see one of these going down my carpeted hallway chasing after my cats. Betcha it would freak them out a bit and my hubby (who does commercial floor cleaning btw, but to get the man to clean a floor in his own house? Yah right!) would have a ball with this new toy-with 3 cats, and 2 messy kids this thing would get some usage in my house. Someone I know actually owns one of these and I made them try it out while I was there, I thought it was so cool how the vacuum knew when to spin around, change direction etc... Santa can place one of these under my tree anytime, because this will definitely make my housecleaning easier! (I have had 4 surgeries on my arm and vacuuming is just too much for me to handle some days!) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving by the way!

if you send me the roomba, i won't have to tell the kids that santa accidentally left the gate open and the dog ran away. see, roomba makes everyone happy because it cleans up dog hair. if you don't send the roomba, look for brown 'upcycled' scarves knitted from dog hair on my etsy site. (don't worry, santa won't let the dog accidentally run away.)
