I'm getting ready for daughter's 4th birthday party in early June. We're going with a cupcake theme so I made these adjustable rings for the kids. I think silver would have been more kid friendly - but I've maxed my party budget out so I went with what I had a lot of.
I bought these fantastic cloth favor bags Bags And Bunting. They'll hold all the Etsy goodies I got to put inside. And about a buck a bag for handmade favor sacks? Sweet! Inside will be cupcake soaps from CrazyK Bath and Body. Cupcake stickers from Jelene. And cupcake band aids from Hey Yo Yo.
And I got a bunch of fun cupcake decorating goodies from Bake It Pretty. The idea will be to let the girls decorate their own cupcakes. Eat one here and take a couple home. I'm hoping that Ziploc bags filled with colored frosting (and an edge snipped off) and sprinkles will keep them busy for awhile. Then we'll do a cupcake toss with a felt cupcake (I've yet to make) tossed into mixing bowls. Sort of a bastardized Bozo Buckets theme.
I've got some aprons coming from Plumtickled that the girls can wear while they frost and take home too! I'll post them as soon as I get them in my hot little hands. Honestly, it all was really reasonable. I got about half of what I did by trading items from my shop. And some things (like the $3.50 for 20 stickers!) are just about as much as what you would pay for something at Party City. But so much cooler.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. So if you know my husband - I suggest that's what you stick with too. Capiche?
