A friend turned me on to Garfunkel and Oates and I officially adore them. They are like my beloved Flight Of The Conchords, only sweeter and more melodic. Enjoy!
Sex With Ducks (a response to Pat Robertson saying that legalizing gay marriage will inevitably lead to legalizing sex with ducks)
Some other great ones (some get risque so be forewarned and get ready to laugh...)
Pregnant Women Are Smug (as a former pregnant women I concur, but only about the first one. After that you are too tired to be smug.)
Why Isn't There More F@#$ing On This Island (The question we all really wanted to know about the TV show Lost)
I Don't Understand Job (What women really talk about after a few glasses of wine...)
And lastly, this sweet song called "As You Are" because the lyrics are gorgeous and perfect in that way that makes you want to go tell your closest friend, "You are totally enough!" and then drink lots of wine together. Or play it for your husband over and over until he says, "Really? I have to listen to it again, really?" I confess I think the Garfunkel and Oates style works better within their parody songs. The juxtaposition of sweet little girl voices against sarcastic biting songs is killer. But the lyrics, the lyrics of As Your Are hooked me even though it's not their norm.
